Text Message Terms

In short: CanAm Trucking Solutions Inc. sends text reminders before compliance documents expire, only to people who agreed to receive them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We never share or sell your mobile number for marketing.

1. What the messages are

CanAm Compliance Reminders are informational text messages from CanAm Trucking Solutions Inc. about trucking compliance documents, such as a driver's licence or CDL, driver abstract or MVR, medical certificate, or a truck's registration, inspection or insurance, that are about to expire or have expired. They are sent from 1-844-492-2626 (1-844-49-CANAM). We do not send marketing or promotional messages through this program.

Example message:

CanAm reminder: Hi Kevin, your Medical / DOT medical card expires in 5 days (Oct 4). Please renew it and send a copy to Prairie Wind Freight. Reply STOP to opt out.

2. Who receives them and how you opt in

Messages go only to people who have agreed to receive them:

Drivers of carriers that use CanAm's compliance services. A driver agrees in writing (on the CanAm text reminder consent form) or by telling their carrier or CanAm that they want reminders. CanAm records the date of consent in the portal before any message is sent.
Carrier owners and managers who ask CanAm to send them reminders about their fleet.

Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of employment or of buying any service.

3. How often

Message frequency varies with your document expiry dates. For each document, reminders are typically sent 30, 20 and 14 days before it expires, then once a day during the last 7 days, on the expiry date, and once the day after. Messages are sent at about 8:00 AM local time.

4. Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages. You'll receive one confirmation and no further messages. To start again, reply START or ask your carrier or CanAm.

5. Costs and carriers

CanAm does not charge for these messages, but message and data rates may apply from your mobile provider. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Privacy

We do not share or sell your mobile number or text message consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to send these reminders. See our Privacy Policy.
